1429 Uncharted Seas
1429 Uncharted Seas review
The reels are quite unique, you can see a nicely designed map from the Middle Ages and get to travel back to the year 1429. Shadows flow across the screen, giving the impression of a rolling seascape, and the symbols are superbly drawn. They are far different from the imagery usually found on slot reels. It is truly a delight to watch and hear the high class visuals accompanied by the orchestral soundtrack, which includes bells, cannon blasts, and cracks of thunder.
As you spin the reels, you will hear the sounds of the sea as symbols include stars, suns and moons, as well as purple sea serpents, orange lobsters, red krakens, giant green turtles and yellow mermaids. When three, four or five mermaid symbols are stacked in a row, they offer payouts of 4, 8 or 50 times the bet. Only the Ship Wild symbol appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. It replaces all symbols except the Compass Scatter and expands only when part of a winning combination.
There are two main bonus features in 1429 Uncharted Seas: expanding wilds and free spins with expanding wilds. A wild symbol in the game is a ship. When it appears on any of the three middle reels (reels 2, 3 or 4) in a winning payline, it triggers the Expanding Wild feature and transforms into an expanding wild, making the reel wild. You can get as many wild reels as you want per spin in the base game.
